TODDLER PROGRAMS - TWO TO THREE YEARS
Our Toddler Program is carefully designed to make the child's first experience in school a positive and healthy one. We aim to meet the sensitivities of the toddler in the areas of independence, order, movement, language and socialization. Please consult our application for times available and mark the session which you prefer.
TRANSITIONAL PROGRAM - OLDER TWO TO YOUNGER THREE YEARS
We provide an early opportunity for the older two year olds to have presented to them materials which are usually reserved for 3 to 6 year old students. For young 3 year olds, it will provide a more controlled opportunity with more time before the full complement of materials is presented. The teachers will concentrate on presenting Montessori materials as well as introducing concepts of extensions of materials, for the richer use of materials going beyond their initial purpose.
PRIMARY PROGRAMS - THREE TO SIX YEARS
We offer two daily sessions: 9:00 am. to 11:30 am. and 12:30 pm. to 3:00 pm. A large part of the day is spent in individual and small group work with the Montessori materials.
The daily schedule also includes collective gathering for creative expressions, movement activities, songs, stories and group lessons. A light nutritious snack is provided daily. When weather permits, the children are taken outdoors to play on outdoor equipment, to enjoy games and to help with gardening activities. Throughout the year, special projects, programs and field trips will be included.
KINDERGARTEN
This area includes scientifically designed materials which introduce one concept at a time. The child is given a wide range of experience in discrimination of heights, lengths, widths, colors, sounds, smells, shapes, and textures. Refinement of the senses and development of skills in thinking, judging, concentrating, comparing, and sequencing are important preparation of more complex learning in math, writing and reading.
FULL-DAY PROGRAM
This program for children under five includes a period for napping followed by a variety of individual and group activities including arts and crafts, gardening, music, dance, cooking, stories, and more. This program offers a safe, comfortable environment for children of working parents.
